Red Sky In The Morning

   The range of colors are my favorites with a lot of movement and texture. The textured surface of the canvas is created with a formula given to me by a frame maker and carpenter in Venice Italy, This craftsman was replacing broken parts of an ornate frame from a church.  I asked after he made the mold what did he use to duplicate the broken piece of the frame.  he gave me his formula and when I returned to my studio, I started to use this in my artwork and never looked back.  The paint I always use is Golden Acrylics, I feel they are the best available as they have a great amount of color pigment and hold their colors true through the years. The art and texture continues around the sides and is ready to hang. I then coated the entire piece with high gloss resin that protects and brings the colors out.  It looks like the piece is coated with liquid glass and has an amazing look and changes as the light in the room changes.
