Golden Waves

Golden Waves.  I had was on the beach last October  and the sun was setting and some of the waves had this golden reflection of the harvest moon. I captured this on my camera and when I saw it again it inspired me to design this painting. As any artist knows a painting sometimes becomes a treasure and other times it turns out OK, this one is a treasure.  I almost decided to hang it in my hallway next to the guest bathroom but it was a little tight for that wall.  After painting this piece I saw that it would look equally good either as a horizontal or a vertical painting so I signed it on the back and wired it to hang in either direction. The artwork is heavy with texture and the texture and art work travel around to the sides of the painting and no framing is necessary.  I have added three coats of UV gloss varnish to protect the artwork and to bring the colors out.
